Wonderful things that happen; i got or i met this 2008....

1. Boracay tour (August 15-18 2008 ) - a retreat to Boracay along with my church mates and friends.
2. Davao/Samal tour (November 27 to December 02 2008) - travel with two good friends Madelaine Ann and Alwyn.
3. New job at Renditiondigital (August 26 2008) - a really God's blessing
4. Healing from my fibroandenoma - just one of his everyday miracle
5. Watching movies (A Very Special Love, My Only U, Twilight and Ang Taging Ina Ninyong Lahat) - what's make the experience special? I watch along with my good friends...

There's a lot more...that I may take days to list down. This list will be a simple way of reminding myself how good the Lord has been to me
and how much he loves each and everyone of us. Another year is coming and it simply excites me of the things to come.

'Kasama Kang Tumanda' My Only U sound track.

November 01 2008, me and two of my good friends Jennifer and Lilian (whom also I consider my best friends), had a chance of bonding together, despite our always hectic schedule. We went to visit the grave of also a good friend Carol (who died of leukemia last 2003). After which we watch a movie My Only U which stars Vhong Navarro and Toni Gonzaga. At first I was hesitant to watch the said movie for I thought it was just one corny movie again.

The movie My Only U, has a very short story of love or affection for a very dear friend, who has a family curse of dying at a young age. The whole story runs along how Bong the landlord and friend (played by Vhong Navarro) took care and did everything to ensure that Winona (played by Toni Gonzaga) will have a long and prosperous life. And because of his secret love for Winona he is willing to do anything to protect her. On the other hand Winona suppresses herself to love; believing that she only has a short time live.

The movie has an exciting twist Winona surpass the curse, but still both of them flourish their relationship in heaven. For some the ending may seem tragic but for me despite the unusual comedy movie ending, they were able to make the movie really light and funny. A mix of comedy, drama and musical, they were able to make me laugh til I drop. I even love the sound track ‘Kasama Kang Tumanda’; it’s an equally nice rendition of song as its original english version ‘Grow Old With You’.

Philippine Fashion Week 2008

Last Friday October 24 2008 is the fifth day of the Philippine Fashion Week 2008, an event held at the SMX Convention Center. It showcases the Spring Summer Collection 2009 (Hamilo Unveils the Luxe Wear Collection A), it Features designers Chris Diaz, Edgar San Diego, Harley Ruedas, Jerome Salaya Ang, Joel Escober, Jonite Martinez, Julius Tarog, Lizanne Cua, Mich Dulce, Ramon Favila, Rickie Abad, Roel Rosal, Roland Lirio, and Simon Ariel Vasquez.

A lot of people came in, especially from the upper class of the society and most everyone but not all are well dressed up for the event. It was a well organized event, from the attentive registration personnel to the friendly ushers. The venue arrangement is simple; that helps draw much of the guest’s attention to the show or the collections itself.

The designers have really exercised their creativity. Like the creations of Roel Rosal which really goes by his name; having his collections in nice shades of pink using lace or soft fabrics. There are also classic style collections, like long stylish dress; a combination of creative tops and bottoms; colorful leggings paired with either a blouse or dress was also featured. Summer outfits was also showcased; such as the floral swimsuits for ladies and trunks for men, accessorized with shawl. I regret not having a camera to take pictures of the featured collections, but happy my eyes re well fed watching the fashion show and observing the expectant hmmm.

The clothes showcased were indeed fabulous as I may say; but nothing I would wear on in the office or in places or event I used to go to, unless I may be invited again in a big social event. :-)

God is the architect of me ! ! !

"I’m not compelled to be creatures of others, ……I am the architect of myself" I used to believe in this line I read from a quote during my high school days, but now I have come to realize that it is not about me or how I would like my life to be, everything is about him........ Our God.

I am what I am now; I am where I am and I have become who I am today, not because of how I make my choices in life;     h   how I have decided or how I wanted things to be; but because of the Lord’s will .

God is the architect of me; I am his continuous work in progress!!!
